Today I am 5dpo. (For you newbies out there that means 5 Days Post Ovulation). We did our very first ever IUI (intrauterine insemination) on Christmas Eve night at around 11:30 p.m. It was such an amazing experience!!!
We were actually on vacation in Colorado for the holidays and were lucky enough to be able to set up an appointment with my sister's favorite OB. (Julie just so happens to work in the Mother/Baby unit at the hospital and has good connections). My OPK (Ovulation Predictor Kit) had showed the smiley face so I knew I'd be ovulating within the next day or so. We called the doctor and he agreed to meet us at the clinic that Friday night. We were in business!
Now I'm in the middle of the dreaded 2ww (2 Week Wait). It's a bit like this... Hmmm... my boobs feel a bit sore... Am I pregnant?? I just cried during that commercial... Am I pregnant? I feel a bit of a cramp... Am I pregnant? It's all very nerve racking and stressful. I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work next week for the distraction. When you're up in front of a classroom of 24 kids, you really don't have time to sit around and worry about TTC (Trying to Conceive).

OMG! I love reading about your exciting new journey! It makes me happy to see you planning parenthood. Also, I'm glad it's you, not me. :) You've always taught me patience and strength so I know YCDI!! (You Can DO It!) Can I make up my own acronyms along the way? ILY! ---Jul
Wow, I know you always kept your own journal, so this is GREAT that we can go along for the ride with you. Thanks!!!
